Vintage 1981 Sony Walkman WM-1 Original Walkman Cassette Player, Working
The third Walkman in Sony's line, but the model that launched the revolution, the WM-1 dropped in 1981 and changed the world. For you, me, Peter Quill, everybody.
This WM-1 works! We tested it with external A/C power and it works just fine. The inside of the battery compartment is clean, but the metal plates on the battery cover are worn, so I think replacing those metal plates or just putting on a new battery cover would make it work on battery power.
