Vintage RARE Blue Snaggletooth Kenner 1978 Star Wars Sears Cantina Set Complete In Original Box, Get Your Grail Right Here!

Holy Grail material right here. The Sears Cantina set was the only way you could get the "error" blue Snaggletooth, now a legendary figure in the hobby. (Alright, well you could also get him in a Sears mail-away 2 pack with Greedo, but that doesn't make him any less rare.) This set is complete and in as-new condition with all the figures and foot pegs. As you can tell, the Sears Cantina was not exactly a quality set, consisting of basically two pieces of thin cardboard (aside from the figs and foot pegs). Add that to the fact production was halted very quickly when the Blue Snags was discovered, and you've got a recipe for scarcity -- crappy paper stuff printed in error in a short run almost 50 years ago. Yeah, if you think a lot of figs and vehicles got tossed over the years, just think about the fate of this P.O.S. set from WAY early on. Heck, if you had gotten this, as soon as you got a Falcon, Death Star, whatever, this was history. The "real" Cantina set is infinitely better from a playability perspective, with its solid plastic base. But from a collectibility perspective, no sir (or ma'am), the crap is most definitely where it's at. And if the survivability of the cardboard playset seemed sketch, the box and instructions are infinitely less likely to have survived. And these are sexy! This is going to be the showpiece of most any collection.

The box has BEAUTIFUL, glossy art front and back. It was compressed at some point so it has crease lines down each side. However, I braced each side internally with thin cardboard and craft adhesive (no tape, nothing obvious, and nothing poorly done) so the box is squared up again. I also reattached one long end flap and one small end flap using the same method and cardboard hinges. Minimal original tape damage and shelf wear other than, as noted, the creases down the sides. But it's very sturdy and glossy. Displays BEAUTIFULLY. Figures are even better.

This is a "toe dent" Snaggletooth in condition C85+. He's got just a touch of paint wear on his boots, and the silver belt buckle is sweet! , His face and hair paint are high grade.

The other figures are equally high-grade. This is absolutely a must-have for a serious Star Wars collection. Includes all Cantina figs (blue Snags, Walrus Man aka Ponda Baba, Hammerhead, and Greedo).
